Theory of Organizations II - Spring 2013

There are two courses that focus on Organizational Theory. Both are designed to develop knowledge of classical and contemporary theories of organizational behavior applicable to social institutions. More specifically, the purpose is to increase ones knowledge of the nature and utility of selected theoretical and conceptual frameworks that have been conceived in an attempt to understand social institutions as complex organizations. Further the courses will focus on the elements of each theory and attempt to reconcile organizational behavior within a theoretical framework. In addition, the courses will help in understanding how theory guides research in organizational analysis.
